A little bit about us

Castlemead was founded in Bristol in 1987 by David Ingleby, specifically to provide businesses with expert and independent insurance and risk-management advice. Over 35 years later, our expert and forward-looking team, today led by David’s son, Richard, continues to grow steadily and we now have offices in Bristol, Exeter, and Compeigne, near Paris.

We’re truthful, yet respectful – even if clients or insurers behave poorly. We keep our promises and present our clients’ risks to insurers fairly – even if this makes life difficult for us. We never “sell insurance to our clients”. Instead, we “buy insurance for them”.
