Here’s our senior leadership team, but behind them is a close-knit team working hard every single day (and the occasional evening) to achieve the right results for our clients.
Richard believes the only real way to provide a first-class broking service is to make sure you understand a client’s business deeply. From the markets they serve to their contractual terms, it all impacts on insurance and risk management.
Richard works with clients from varied industries including aerospace, construction, technology, transportation, and retail. He qualified as an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2005, and became Castlemead’s Managing Director in 2006.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys roaming the Quantocks with his family and practising his “français” on the locals in France.
Nick joined Castlemead in 1999 before qualifying as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in 2001. Before joining our team, Nick cut his teeth as a Commercial Underwriter at General Accident. He plays a pivotal role at Castlemead, liaising between our broking team and insurers. Nick’s also responsible for providing compliance advice and audit services to all our clients regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
To switch off from work, Nick likes planning his next holiday or spending time with friends and family.
Sarah’s been with Castlemead for 18 years and her commitment and ambition has seen her rise through the ranks at Castlemead from Account Handler to Director. Sarah achieved Associate status with the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2016. She is the office linchpin, not only managing client relationships, but also looking after our internal team of account managers.
Away from the 9-5, Sarah loves nothing more than spending time with her family and ferrying her eldest to and from football training and matches.
Alistair joined Castlemead in 2017 and has more than 20 years’ experience in finance, tax, and project management. A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, Alistair looks after the Finance function for the business, and also supports our client team with technical financial input. His broad and varied experience has seen him hold senior roles both in UK and international owner-managed businesses and multi-nationals.
When he’s not “crunching the numbers”, Alistair enjoys playing football and supporting his local Scout Group.
Clive has been in the insurance industry for almost 40 years, 25 of them with Castlemead. He looks after many of our long-standing commercial relationships and holds regular ‘tool box talks’ for clients on all aspects of insurance and risk management. He has particularly broad and deep knowledge of the Construction, Charity, Manufacturing and Professional Services sectors.
Outside of work, you can find Clive getting his eye in on the range, where he's represented Team GB in the Senior Shotgun Squad.
Adrian has more than 35 years’ insurance broking experience. Before joining Castlemead in 2015, he ran his own successful brokerage in Ireland. Adrian has become a specialist in the SME sector, in particular in the Aviation, Manufacturing, Leisure and Retail sectors, where his personal approach has helped him build long-standing client relationships.
Adrian heads up our Exeter office and leads on our enduring relationship with the West of England Aviation forum (WEAF).
When he’s not in the office, Adrian loves nothing more than spending time with family and friends.
Shaun has been working in the insurance sector since 2010, and has Associate status with the Chartered Insurance Institute. For Castlemead, Shaun looks after a significant number of our clients from across wide-ranging sectors including motor trade, transport, manufacturing, property owners, and contractors.
In his spare time, Shaun enjoys kicking back with family and friends – ideally, with a round of golf thrown in.
